Relax in our sunny, NYC Loft-Style space in Los Feliz…
Works of Art is an award winning salon located on Hollywood Boulevard between Hillhurst and Vermont Avenues in the heart of the buzzing Los Feliz walking district. This is the east side home to art galleries, book shops, cafes, mid-century modern furniture stores, nightlife and great restaurants.
Inside the Salon…
Situated in a sun filled loft, the salon is outfitted with hardwood floors, leather loungers, clean lined cutting stations, and the occasional splash of retro kitsch such as the row of chrome Helene Curtis original bonnet dryers. With a wide range of music on the stereo, there is a constant stream of people either stopping in for their appointments, checking out the current art exhibit, or just dropping in to chat – all making for a fabulous loft party feel all of the time.
Works of Art, Literally!
It’s certainly no coincidence Art loves art. Besides creating it via hair styles on a daily basis, the studio doubles as an art gallery with a regular schedule of soirees and parties.
“My motto is open door, open space.” –Art Cardiel
Art is the consummate host, always introducing clients to each other, making sure everyone is happy. “I want to be an artistic nucleus for the neighborhood. My clients are a wide array of creative people and I like being able to expose them to the community, and the community to them.” To that end, Works of Art hosts gallery shows by local artists, complete with music ensembles, hors d’oeuvres, and of course, cocktails. The shows change every 3-4 months and cover a wide spectrum of media and styles. Do you know a local artist who deserves some good exposure? Be sure to introduce us!

Waiting for your color to set and feeling peckish? One of the best burger joints in Los Angeles sits beneath us. We’d be glad to fetch you a burger while you wait. Not a meat eater? Or perhaps you might catch a flick at the Vista Theater, one of the original single theaters left in LA, always screening something popular.
